Going to start promoting my graphic novel. I think this book is a fantastic way for children to be educated about Abraham Lincoln. If you know of any educational or library sources who may be interested please pass on the details.
‘British artist Christopher Taylor has rendered a stunning portrait of a play that was first produced in New York in 2006. With its cast of 21, The Tragedy of Abraham Lincoln is a great play for schools or educational settings of young or old. This historical play focuses on the last year of President Lincoln’s life and the dramatic events that surrounded it. Abraham Lincoln and other major historical figures of this period are thoroughly explored: Generals Grant and Lee; John Wilkes Booth and the entire Booth family; Frederick Douglass, Mary Todd Lincoln. Now stocked in major bookstores and in the New York Public Library!’
That is a project I am very proud of. I was asked if I would be interested in transforming the material into a Graphic Novel by a brilliant play-write and author Mike Strozier. It was an exciting challenge for me as it was my first graphic novel and it has been highly successful.
